Pape Sy Likely Headed Back To French Club Gravelines
If the recently waived Pape Sy doesn't latch on with another NBA team by January 13 he will return to French team Gravelines-Dunkerque with whom he has a one-year contract.
Pape Sy will return to Gravelines without a contract in NBA sportando.net/eng/europe/fra…

Sy's contract with Gravelines included an out-clause for the NBA which allowed him to return to the Atlanta Hawks for training camp. Sy played in both of the Hawks exhibition games as the back up shooting guard. Drafted in the second-round of the 2010 draft, Sy spent time with the Utah Flash of the NBA D-League last season before joining the Hawks for the stretch run. He was viewed as a combo guard that could fill in at the point guard position if needed. Atlanta opted to go with veteran Jannero Pargo and D-League vet Donald Sloan at that position.
Sy played eight games with Gravelines before leaving the club and left averaging 11.9 points per game.

Sorry kid
We’d rather have Stackhouse than you, apparently, despite the fact that you might actually have something to contribute on the court.
Braves will be fine. I'm not worried.

I was pulling for Sy but I will say this
They must have felt that they needed Stackhouse in that locker room and if that is the case I will overlook the move. The alarming thing is that dating back to the sold second round pick, Atlanta basically has nothing to show from the draft after they traded JC2 and cut Keith Benson along with Sy.
Benson really must not have shown anything because even though Ivan Johnson’s play was spirited in training camp, most teams are not going to give up on a cheap 7-footer that showed some skill in college. None of the overseas reports on Benson were good either.
