This is the second and final 10 day contract that Wilkins can be signed to. At the end of this contract the Hawks either must cut him loose or sign him for the remainder of the season. In listening to Larry Drew, I think that he would like to keep Damien for the remainder of the season. That decision however may hinge on the health of Marvin Williams.

HAWKS SIGN DAMIEN WILKINS TO SECOND 10-DAY CONTRACT
ATLANTA, GA ----- The Atlanta Hawks today signed guard/forward Damien Wilkins to a second 10-day contract, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Rick Sund.
Wilkins has appeared in 17 games off the bench for Atlanta this season, averaging 2.4 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.7 apg and 0.7 spg (.452 FG%, .684 FT%) in 11.7 mpg. The seventh-year veteran signed his first 10-day contract on January 8, 2011. He was originally signed by the Hawks on December 3, 2010, and waived on January 5, 2011.
