Hawks Interested in Boone, Elson and Skinner
This comes from Michael Cunningham of the AJC.
I would have liked to see the Hawks land Kwame Brown (seriously). Out of the three being discussed now, I prefer Josh Boone. What say you?

C'mon...
Do you expect me to WANT to buy more tickets to games based on the pursuit of these bros?

None of the above
An additional big body to put on the bench is the last thing the Hawks need right now. A good defensive SF would be huge for the overall construction of the roster, but the Hawks don’t realize that Mo Evans is not a true three. It’s painful.
Yes it is...
although I wouldn’t mind Josh Boone as a potential young, defensive-oriented big. He hasn’t lived up to his lottery pick status coming in, but he can rebound and block shots. His FT% is beyond awful, but he can’t give any worse production than say Collins.
Although I’d agree that the thing this team needs most is a better SF to back up Marvin, since Mo is more of a SG. Although ideally, this team needs more than just that IF it were willing to go beyond 13 minimum. If we were willing to sign 14 or 15, then a SF, young C, and young PG would be well suited to the roster.

Clearly the team sees Mo as a 3
right or wrong that is the case. In some instances Joe will be the back up 3. Also if Drew goes with the big lineup that he has talked about then Smith will get some time there as well. Of the players listed I agree that Josh Boone would be the best pick. Wonder what Erick Dampier’s value would be? Probably would be too expensive and word is that Charlotte is looking for a trade rather than just releasing him. Still if he were to be released and could pass a physical, I would float him a vet minimum offer for sure.

Boone is the only one who isn't past his prime.
(And what a prime that will be!).
I say we just clone Jason Collins...
Wait…What? You say he has a twin? No way we’re that lucky.
Meet your next Hawk: Jarron Collins
Raise your hand if you’re going to be the next Hawk.

Nothing Personal against Mario
But I hope that option went out the window when Woodson wasn’t brought back. I still fully expect to see him at training camp though.

I love Mario's attitude, but . . .
His inability to develop a reliable shot from at least one spot on the floor (corner 3 would have been optimal) makes him too much of a liability to see any court time. I would hope that we could find someone else with the right attitude and just a little more skill to go with it. Perhaps that is what they hope Pape Sy can become.
