He could be helpful
Last year’s stats for Powell are a little skewed since the Lakers mostly played Josh at Center.

If our new coach is willing to commit minutes to the bench, I think Powell could be an interesting asset. It’s hard to get a gauge on him because of his limited opportunities, but I actually like this move.
Hometown kid!
I actually played AAU against Powell back in high school when he played at Riverdale High. Young, athletic, can play the 4 or 5 spot. Definitely a better pickup and much needed upgrade from Joe Smith. One more big and a backup SF and will be a better team. Let’s see what training camp has to offer….
Is ASG really going to make more moves to appease us you guys and gals????

The moves at Small Forward will make me happy
It would be nice to have a long defensive specialist to complement Mo.
Concerning all bench guys, I just hope whoever we pickup (even if it includes Collins….. ugh) get used appropriately. That would make me most happy. A commitment to our bench.
Really
I kinda expected they wanted a vet minimum guy…but they’re actually making a move?!?!
Atlanta will win a championship....someday
I agree, great pickup by the Hawks
They say Josh Powell can’t win a ring without Kobe, so much like Kobe had to cement his legacy by winning a ring without Shaq, Josh Powell has to win one without Kobe. I just hope all the attention from the media on this story doesn’t prove to be a distraction for the Hawks.

You heard it here first!
Powell leads Hawks to first NBA title!

Wow, I have to admit that their is an occasional NBA player with whom I am unfamiliar
and I have honestly never heard of this guy. Appears that he is from the Metro area, but I have no idea where he went to college.
Of course, it doesn’t mean that the kid cannot play, but as an NBA fan, I have to say that if the ASG would like to attract casual observers, this kid isn’t going to move the meter. He definitely will not help with attendance.
he hardly played
but at least he’s got some gas in the tank…he’s not a 38 year old, bad knee, flopping, big man who can’t make it to half court on a break
Furthermore....D.A. predictions are about as legit as my own.
Although this signing may be true, he reports more BS than my septic tank. He has to be the worse NBA reporter around.
Bet it hit the rim!
Haha, Fred's
