Around SBN: New York Giants Super Bowl XLVI Ring Unveiled

Pretty sure this illegal, but I did get a great coffee table on that site so I can vouch for its effectiveness. (HT Sekou Smith's Twitter)

That is hilarious.

Who did it? Come on, fess up! Take credit for your genius!

Be careful what you wish for

After the 1999 playoffs, when a second-round sweep led the team to trade away Steve Smith and Mookie Blaylock. Nine straight losing seasons followed.

We have a better, younger core than we did then...

and so long as we don’t bring in JR Rider, Priest Lauderdale, Cal Bowdler, and others similar, we’ll be fine.

Man...

Those were just some HORRIBLE picks!! Just horrible! The scout should have felony charges pending against them for those picks…..along w/ Sheldon Williams!!!

It’s a risk, but the hope is that Rick Sund will make better decisions than was made a decade ago.

Somebody's math is wrong...

I’m pretty sure if he made 500000 an hour he’ll make way more than 20 mil per year

Atlanta will win a championship....someday

by maxxj3 on May 12, 2010 10:32 AM EDT reply actions

Actually, if you just look at his minutes played in the regular season

And then pay him hourly, 50k, based on that, it comes out to like 2.4 million.

by Bronn on May 12, 2010 12:11 PM EDT up reply actions

Add another zero

The post was 500K an hr, which comes out to over 27 Mil after playoff minutes. :)

Last night's Cav's lost....

Set up a pretty good example that no matter how many stars you have on your team, if you don’t play team ball, and the other team does, you will lose everytime. The Cavs are a glorified version of the Hawks.

Other than the fact that the Cavs have won 2 games in the second round and still have a shot at winning their series, you’re right: the Cavs and Hawks are exactly the same. :p

True

But they only have one star. Take leBron off that team and I doubt they win more than 35 games.

Fact.

Boston has been known to suck on their home court

Example, game 3 when they were blowed out as well on their home court. Depending on which Boston team shows up, should be a good one.

I guess trading Josh

for Brook Lopez and Delvin Harris would be out of the question

Atlanta will win a championship....someday

by maxxj3 on May 12, 2010 11:27 PM EDT reply actions

Agreed...

Harris/Teague/Bibby
Harris/Crawford
Marvin/Chil?
Horf/Zaza
Lopez/Zaza

Would still need to retool the bench some more, but not a bad start.

by Mr. Sanchez on May 13, 2010 11:01 AM EDT up reply actions

With their cap space, they are going to be desperate to make a move

if it isn’t for Lebron, who else is possible for them? Besides, if they land the #1 pick and Wall, Harris becomes expendable. It might take a little more sweetner from us considering how well Lopez played this past year, but New Jersey is going to have to do SOMETHING this summer. That desperation may lead to doing something stupid.
