The Most Important Thing About: Game Three
Is it a "must win"?
How will Smoove handle all the love and adulation? Will it counter-act the snub of the All-Star process?
Will the Hawks be able to maintain the level of rim-attack they have enjoyed so far in the series or can old habits creep back in while on the road?
Will all of Scott Skiles' savvy observations about what the Hawks want to do parlay into defending their home court?
There are questions, answers, and many discussion points but we ask, as always, what's the Most Important Thing you're looking at going into and potentially coming out of Game Three?

JAMAL
In the first 2 games Jamal has been invisible. He is the energizer. He is the engine for the second unit. He is their leader. He is the difference maker for the Hawks.
In the first 2 games with deer, Jamal seems to have experienced traumatic playoff syndrome. That is the syndrome of a player who has never experienced playoffs before, and is now in awe of all the passion and energy and forgets who he is. He has become an observer.
I was not nervous about Jamal going 2 out of 10 in game 2. He always goes through periods where he misses, eventually he catches fire (usually in 4th) and scores 15 points in 2-3 minutes. What I was nervous about, was that after the layup he missed in game 2, Jamal’s shoulders slumped. He seemed passive. Did not defend any more. And immediately Woody got it. Woody took him out and Jamal played the third fewest minutes of his one year stay in ATL. That is unusual.
Tomorrow night,. Hawks need Jamal. Bibster and JJ have been carrying us from outside, but we absolutely have to have Jamal on his game at the opponents court, and to lead the bench. I am afraid he may be going through the same problems as after the all star break (when he had the mysterious should injury). I hope that is not the case and he gets it back. He is the difference maker, and Hawks need him to score.
Nice to know...
…that we were alright without Jamal being effective for us. How ugly might it be if he does?

True it would have been even tougher on deer if Jamal was balling
But Hawks used the home crowd to energize themselves first 2 gamea. Tomorrow night, Jamal needs to be that energy for them. Of-course we also beat the deer without Jamal last game we played them up there, but i have a feeling, their crowd will be in a frenzy tomorrow night.
I called this game as the one where Teague shows out...
before returning to log DNP-CDs the rest of the playoffs. So that’s most important to me. After that it’s 1) stay healthy, 2) win. Do those two things, and anything else is gravy.
I would like to see some consistency on the road. If this team actually tries for a full 48 minutes, they are unbeatable. Without the crowd popping for big plays, we tend to hang our heads at times. I’d like to see us not worry about the crowd and just play basketball like we do at home.
It would be nice if Jamal would get it going as well
If we win Game 3, I would be semi ok with losing Game 4 to come home and close out game 5 at Philips
Thank God two of the “elite” teams have already dropped their first road game. Wouldn’t want to be the first team of the playoffs to do that. We’d never hear the end of it. Go Hawks!! JC-I’m expecting 50!!!
Bet it hit the rim!
I'm gonna be at the game in Milwaukee wearing my Josh Smith shirt cheering on the Hawks
in my mind. But really i’m gonna be in GA, in my living room, watching it on ESPN. But in my mind, i’ll be there cheering them on and letting everyone know there isn’t sh*t to do in Milwaukee. Let’s take these next two games, get some rest, and hope Orlando losses one or two in Charlotte.
Anybody recall?
The Bucks fans calling Marvin Williams a bust in the last regular season game in Milwaukee? Wonder if they will continue that 2morrow? That’s probably the most interesting thing about this game to me, to see if they will call Marvin a bust and boo Josh all game. We are coming back home 4-0 or 3-1 regardless though
I wish I was as optimistic as you
But I went and bought tix for game 5. Hawks have not proven yet they are a good road team. I can accept being able to win one game away from bird cage, but i just don’t see Hawks winning two games in deer land.
Now we must win at least one game out of next two. To have any glimmer of hope to beat the team in the next round with the muscle man in the middle, we have to prove to ourselves that we can win away from bird cage. I think the game tonight, will be the toughest game though. The fun thing is that the social security eligible team did well last night, and they may provide good resistance to King and his gang.
anyone heard about stern comments as far as coaches complaining about the refs?
Some of what I read said that coaches jobs could be on the line if they keep complaining, junk like that. I say call the game fair and no one would complain. found the article on yahoosports.com. I will post a link when I find it

Agree 1000%
As long as we don’t fall in love with our jump shot and run at all opportunities we should win.

WHATEVA IT TAKES, WINNING'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!
Game 3 is a “must win”. Why?
1. It’s on the road. and 2. It’s a playoff game. Every game is a “must win”. The first team to get to 4 wins, wins the series. “WIN OR GO HOME” (TNT) or TNT will show your team gone fishing. Plus losing is no fun.
Other significant things:
-the team stick to what’s working, and shy away from what’s not working
-keep Young Buck and John Salmoans contained (probably gonna be even more challenging since the guys are playing in front of their fans)
-Jamal getting a few 4 point plays. Okay that’s not crucial. But sure would help at quieting the Bucks fans.
-The Wingmen getting back into the swing of things. Gonna need them to help sustain these leads or build a lead. Especially on the road. Bench points must go up.
-Bring the Highlight Factory to Milwaukee and do what they do.
LET’S GO HAWKS, NO DOUBTS, ONE GAME AT A TIME!
