Hawks Injury Report: None.

Knicks Injury Report: Eddy Curry is out. JR Giddens is out. Also of note, who is JR Giddens. Tracy McGrady's demise are great under exaggerated. He may play tonight to prove it. But he may not.

Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: I don't know. Galinari? Maybe. Eddie House? Why not. Shoot even Duhon has a chance. But definitely not McGrady.

Game Preview

The Hawks have lost four of the last five to the Knicks. How bad is that? The Knicks have lost one of the last one to the Nets in a blowout. That bad.

I mean what can you say about this game? We should win? Yes. Someone on the Knicks will inexplicably go bananas offensively? Of course. Only the Hawks can stop Al Horford from getting 20 and 10? Naturally.

I don't know what else to say. Have I mentioned I love Madison Square Garden? Because I do. Ok seriously, one interesting subplot is the Joe Johnson tryout for second option. Will Joe come out gunning? Are Knicks fans so caught up in summer 2010 that they will cheer their fourth choice to succeed against their own team? Are we all hoping Gus Johnson calls this game? Have there every been so many questions for what should be an obvious win?

But seriously Hawks, end this with eight minutes to go in the third quarter please. My DVR is almost full. Thank you.

Go Hawks!

Yeah we have to win this.

If nothing else, just to maintain my sanity.

we can get this win

I hope. Hawks need to find their happy place and inhibit it. Please play good, inspired, four-game-win-streak-and-beyond basketball.

The future has come...in the form of Jason Heyward.

by hawves on Mar 8, 2010 5:20 PM EST reply actions

Please Hawks

Please don’t take them lightly. For the love of Christ they had beaten us twice at home, and handed Nate Robinson some of his trade value in one game.

Go Hawks.

i am kind of happy about that

the Hawks helped screw the Celtics by sucking. That is impressive.

The things I'm least looking forward to from this game

1. Eddie House’s personal pep rally
2. The zone defense D’Antoni is likely to throw at us.

Knick fan here from Posting and Toasting

My boys actually lost to the Nets twice this year.

byw I was at the epic comeback featuring Nate a Phillips. Too bad he stayed in our conference!

Smoove's jumpers appear to be in slow motion

1. Catch ball
2. Bend knees
3. Release ball at the wrist
4. Pray it goes in
5. Scream, “Bet it hit the rim!”

not that its joe johnsons fault but he should have made that free throw…or maybe the game shouldnt have even been that close to begin with. damn it

by VAHawksFan on Mar 8, 2010 9:59 PM EST reply actions

25% of Crawford's points came on 1 play.

100% of Bibby’s points came on 1 free throw.

by Bronn on Mar 8, 2010 10:00 PM EST reply actions

Woody

Woody is the former slam dunk contest winner who just got blocked by a smaller guy at the rim to lose this game. Woody did it. It was all his fault

by Truthspitter on Mar 8, 2010 10:03 PM EST reply actions

Can’t beat the Knicks. Took 3 of 4 from the Hawks. Christ.

Why not us? Why not now?

by Expos4 on Mar 8, 2010 10:07 PM EST reply actions

by hawves on Mar 8, 2010 10:19 PM EST up reply actions

ok, Marvin being -6 isn't so suprising

It’s Bibby having the best +/- on the team going 0/4 with 1 assist and 1 turnover while simultaneously being worthless on defense

by dmortone on Mar 8, 2010 10:14 PM EST up reply actions

We own the Celtics

The Knicks own the Hawks.
The Bobcats own the Cavs.

boy everyone was just about to give Josh the keys to the city

“Now look at you!” (Scarface) But for real does Josh know who he is? As a player? The Hawks have to work on defending the three and rebounding. amonst other things
