WHERE I GO TO GET GOOD NEWS ABOUT THE HAWKS

Its funny, I have now resorted to go to the oppositions website to get any good news about the Hawks. So any time the Hawks are playing any team and i want to get an objective assessment of our team, I have to go to the other teams website.

I am not saying we should not be critical of the Hawks. All I am saying is that once in a while I would like to see an article about how good the Hawks are this season.

THIS IS FROM THE LAKERS WEBSITE!!!   Wow efficient offence ??? With all the criticism of Woody offence, you would think that the Hawks have the worst offence in the league.

Right now they're tussling with the Celtics for the third seed in the East and the theoretical pleasure of avoiding Cleveland until the Conference Finals. They've come this far on the strength of an excellent offense. After placing 10th in the league in offensive efficiency in 2008-09, they've jumped to third this year. The Hawks turn the ball over less than anyone in the NBA, and they've become a strong offensive rebounding team. Their possessions seem to last forever.

be careful using raw numbers to formulate opinions...

just because they don’t turn it over and are good on the offensive glass doesn’t make for a well coached offense.

And sorry there aren’t enough sunshine pumpers around here for you. Things get rough when you are trying to go from just making the playoffs to legit championship contender.

I understand what he is saying

Most of what I read is true and I know the prospects of us making it out of the second round aren’t good but reading some of these articles makes me feel like the Hawks are the Nets instead of a 48 win team. It’s just depressing knowing you’re not quite good enough yet and having it hammered home everyday

I understand ya

But you spelled offense three times, lol jk

Oh yeah i read that article

And not to rain on your parade, because I agree it is a lot of gloom and doom on this site with the playoffs on their way, but you failed to include the sentence before that that said we are a second tier team. That post built up the hawks and broke them down all the while maintaining their superiority that they’re better.

Atlanta will win a championship....someday

I made my comment before I read yours. Haha we're on the same page.

Didn’t you get the feeling, from that piece, that they expect to win tonight?

Bet it hit the rim!

yeah, jinx!

But yeah, we’ll see who’s a second tier team when the game is over.

I read the article from their website

and it started off by calling us a 2nd tier elite team. WTF is that? In my mind, I think that there is elite status and non elite status.

Bet it hit the rim!

Ofcourse they expect to win

Unlike we in ATL they believe in their team. I guarantee you, most ATL fans expect the Hawks to lose. BTW, even Vegas thinks the Hawks will win:)

Says who? I expect the Hawks to win at home where they have been an elite team. If this game were in LA, then it’d be a different story.

Didn't Woodson once say, "I don't give a s#!t about offense"?

I thought his pedigree was Larry Brown-esque defense.

Clearly, any success we have on offense has nothing to do with him. On the rare times we are successful at defense, I will give him credit though. Then I take it away when we have unacceptable losses like Knicks, whose GM has publicly said his team is complete garbage and they wrote off this season.

Sorry for caring about my team! Hope I’m not being too negative!
