Spurs Injury Report: I don't care how well the Spurs are playing without Tony Parker. I am always thankful to see him out.

Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: Manu Ginobili
According to ESPN's depth chart for the Spurs, San Antonio does not have a third string point guard...or a second string point guard. There first string point guard is hurt. So Mike Bibby will not be hid on a shooting guard tonight. He will just play one. (In fairness, George Hill is a combo guard, but fairness does not make for a good blog.)
Keys to the game:
- Hawks front court exploit their quickness and athleticism advantage.
- I hate the idea of switching the bigs onto Manu. I also hate the idea of our guards defending Manu. Soooo, here is to hoping Joe Johnson comes in with his first goal being to contain Ginobili.
- Transition defense is the new permanent bane of the Hawks. Fix that.
- Mandatory reference to boxing out Dejuan Blair.

Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker have always been Hawk killers. Am happy to hear Parkers is still out. Ginobila is going to get his 30 and Duncan his 25. We just have to stop the rest. I understand JJ taking alot of shots in his comeback but tonight we will have to go back to what the Hawks do best. Good passing and good ball movement. We cannot forget to feed our big’s. PS run baby run. Feed Al on the break.
The bigs need to go strong to the hole

Another fun game tonight
This is a smart team, old but experienced. They pass well and get easy shots. We need to keep defensive intensity up. To me this game is more about playing good defense than scoring. That is what it takes to get to those missed shots and stop the easy layups.
I am afraid Duncan is too tall for Lion. So my prediction is Duncan will have a big game. But our balance should carry the game. JJ can play great defense, but I don’t think he will be spending his energy on that till the playoffs. Another good tough game for the Hawks in their road to playoffs. Go Hawks
Should be an interesting game. Big week for the Hawks. S.A., Mil, Orl., and Philly.
And I agree w/ Riv. Al should be our focal point, but Al has got to be aggressive.

What’s that?? The Hawks don’t know what that is with the exception of Joe Smith. We are going to get killed on the glass. Duncan can rebound without even leaving his feet. I hate playing the Spurs. Everything about them is boring….their style of play, their black and white jerseys. But they know how to win though. Please have a good showing. We’re in ESPN tonight. Primetime baby!!! Go Hawks!!!

Boxing out should be number on priority. We need to stop trying to out jump every team and just put a body on people. We should win the rebound battle on most nights with our length and height. Boxing out makes getting the rebound an easier task.

Hortford gave it his all against Tim and proved that we dont need to double team Howard. Marvin showed up, here’s to hoping he will show up atleast a couple more times before the playoffs. I didn’t like the execution at times, but Joe was great at drawing double teams and passing out when necessary, if Joe plays well enough to make teams double him this team goes to another level because Bibby and Crawford shooting open jumpers equals wins
