We should have kept Flip. For his salary - a waste of talent
Bibby would average 10- min a game if that.

Not a game for Bibby
Will Evans and Marvin to step up. Al should rule – feed him the rock. I hope JJ and Jamal quit trying to take over. Having said that, Josh and Marven have to do better than last game offensively.
feed a big, get a win

That would be me
Al and Josh are not polished players but still are frindge or all-star players. They will only get better with attempts. If they were polished i would be asking the ball to go to Marvin and Teague. I like developement. When the playoffs hit I just want good team ball, good passing and attacking the rim in the flow of the offense. Feed and fan who is hot. We are just not there yet. Is that crazy?

HATE both. Just a bunch of "look at me" crap.
I could take mouthpieces if they’d keep them in their mouths as they play.
No, I can let it slide for those two.
But Wallace does the headband AND dangles the mouthpiece all game. He’s a jackass and should be the target of hate.
Bane should have been
Josh Smith’s jumper

and need the ZaZa - Joe Smith 25 mun if sub to keep the young guys fresh.
Woody does the minuted abuse with Josh and Al. They need at least 7 min of rest. Last night Josh got less than 3. And he missed layups at the end of the game. And did not dominate on defense.

3 NCAA Tourny Champs in Starting Lineup
And still don’t know how to win. Even if you take Marvin out because he is worthless and was only 6th man on his college team, we should be better at finishing with guys that know how to win in Bibby and Hortford, a All-star in Joe, and a top 5 athlete in Josh. This team underachieves in one since and overachieves in another. We just dont have it
Agree with you on Al but not with Bibby. Just not enough defense for me.
by RivBoatGambler on Mar 19, 2010 7:22 PM EDT up reply actions
But
You have to admit Bibby has been through the wars, I agree with the lacking defense, but he did it at Arizona, if u believe Donaghy he should have had a shot in NBA Finals with Sactown, the guy is a proven winner on both levels, I know we need a legit starting 3 but I just dont get why this team that should know how to win does not

Let's Hope We See This...
- ball movement
- rebounding
- effort
- determination
- NO MERCY!
With all those things combined there is no way they lose. They have to start playing a full 4 quarters instead of just 3. We need to get into some good habits before the start of the playoffs. Lets start doing it tonight.
ALSO….
Does anyone know of a radio station around metro atlanta that picks up the Hawks games? 790 the zone SUCKS! you can only pick it up if you are 100 feet from the arena

WTF!!!!!!!!
I get so pissed every time i see Joe catch the ball and hold it for 5 seconds, dribble in place, and then pass with 5 secs left in the shot clock…. It’s time to sit Joe down.
Why
didn’t Josh go after that ball… He just watched it and Gerald took it from him. The lack of desire on this team is painful to watch
We need to start learning to move without the ball.
And cut to the open spot on the floor. It’s freaking easy.

JOSH!! WTF!
He is one of the dumbest assholes ever! He made no effort to play defense on Gerald Wallace on that last possession. He didn’t block out last game, which cost us. And then he goes through spurts during this game showing no effort and just stupidity.

cant even get a rebound
Marvin has infected the entire team after the Toronto game. I tell you this guy is a cancer
The hawks are a mediocre basketball team right now
Josh Smith needs to take some notes from Gerald Wallace. Wallace shows what effort gives you. We try to out jump every damn team in the league and it always costs us. Josh smith and Marvin NEVER box out. If they score here its over…… If they don’t score here it’s over anyway.
Agreed...
if Smooth would give the effort on the glass that Gerald Wallace does, he’d average 12-14+

by The Human Highlight Blog on Mar 19, 2010 9:54 PM EDT reply actions
That has to be the worst designed play i've ever seen, ever, in the history of professional basketball.
Here's the huddle
“Okay, we’re going to toss it in to midcourt, then hand it off and dribble around for a seconds. Then we’ll hand it off again around mid-court, make sure not to lose it into the backcourt. Then we’ll have Joe drive into traffic-there will be traffic since no one will be under the basket to occupy any players-and he’ll pass out to an open Josh Smith, hanging out on the wing.
You might wonder why Josh is on the wing-well, it’s because he might actually clog the lane if he’s there. This way, he doesn’t occupy a defender."
why are you hanging out around the perimeter?? Is that what Woody had in mind? ugh
Bet it hit the rim!
did we just have a play that told Josh smith to sit at the three point line?
if it was going to be shot by a guard, you tell Josh to attack the boards.
The worst thing was
The play was designed to get someone driving to the basket, and it was still doomed to fail because Josh Smith doesn’t occupy a defender out there.
That was dumb dumb dumb
What wouldve happened to his ego if he had made that shot?

I think
The supposed 15 mil per is fair but what is max like 18? Personally, I would not let him go over 3 mill, when we are paying people 4 mill, and 8 mill per that only add to team like every 6 or 7 games at best
by Truthspitter on Mar 19, 2010 10:28 PM EDT up reply actions
Not to start up this same old debate, but
If he doesn’t start 0-9 and turn the ball over 4 times in regulation, Hawks probably need the over time period.
We win this in regulation
If we don’t run the dumbest player in the history of professional basketball when we have to come up with a game winning play and plenty of time left in the 4th, as well.
He finished
7-21 for 18 points. Not too impressive. Baskets made in the first quarter are still worth two points, same as those in the fourth.
I vote the Bobcats' uniforms as the worst in league history
…looks like they were designed by a blind guy, with those horrible pinstripes and that puke gray on puke gray “color.”
I wasn't going to gloat
—I’d rather not have anyone be thinking about me instead of enjoying a win.
