Probable starters:
Mike Bibby
PG Randy Foye
Joe Johnson SG Mike Miller
Marvin Williams
SF Al Thornton
Josh Smith PF Andray Blatche
Al Horford C JaVale McGee

Hawks Injury Report: Mo Evans has the flu and did not travel with the team.

Wizards Injury Report: Josh Howard and the people with guns are out for the year.

Blogging With the Enemy: Bullets Forever

Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: The trade with Dallas. No joke the only thing that used to stop Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee against the Hawks was the Washington starters.

Game Preview:

The Wizards have the same winning percentage as the Knicks. It is another road game where Josh Smith jump shots will not be met with boos and failure to put away teams will not cause nervous clamoring. It is another game where all five position players are not necessarily better than their opposing Hawks, but they could be with some poor defense, execution, and effort.

None of this would have been an issue naturally if the game had taken place when it was suppose to. No, not because Washington was worse pre-trades, but because I was suppose to be at this game. A few rows behind the Hawks bench, booing Josh Smith jump shots and nervously clamoring over effort. I could have guaranteed victory. Alas, it was not to be. So Bob Rathbun and Steve Holman, you boys need to pull double duty tonight.

Keys to the game

1. Don't get embarrassed two games in a row, which is another way of saying win. Also, Al Horford.

Go Hawks!

As simple as that

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 6:59 PM EST via mobile reply actions

on a totally unrelated note

I am really excited about the Braves this year. even though their starting pitching reminds me of mike bibby for some reason.

by hawksdawgs on Mar 11, 2010 7:01 PM EST reply actions

moments of really good, stretches of bad, not going to win anything

keep you some in games.

but it should be noted, i read nothing about the braves. so feel free to mock my analogy or destroy my excitement.

by hawksdawgs on Mar 11, 2010 7:04 PM EST up reply actions

he sure does........weird

I’m excited about them too. been going to braves games since I was young wit my dad. I hope they are successful this year

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 7:04 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

from the twitter
Wiz coach Flip Saunders denies Hawks use of weight room. They are kinda ticked because they let Wiz (and all teams) use theirs.

by hawksdawgs on Mar 11, 2010 7:05 PM EST reply actions

Bad blood brewing

Though, they might have been afraid that Gilbert Arenas would show up and pull a gun on them-glad they dodged that PR nightmare.

by Bronn on Mar 11, 2010 7:07 PM EST up reply actions

The Braves starting pitching is gonna be much much better than Mike Bibby… The starting pitching might be the best in the national league.

by liv4sport100 on Mar 11, 2010 7:06 PM EST reply actions

this is what i need

braves education. feed my excitement!

by hawksdawgs on Mar 11, 2010 7:09 PM EST up reply actions

World Series

The future has come...in the form of Jason Heyward.

by hawves on Mar 11, 2010 7:14 PM EST up reply actions

Lol

Good defense-but everyone in the world knew Josh was going to his left-and that’s why that failed.

by Bronn on Mar 11, 2010 7:14 PM EST reply actions

Javale

WTF you suck stop playing good against us

by Erihury on Mar 11, 2010 7:24 PM EST reply actions

lol Josh

you get ONE of those.

by Bronn on Mar 11, 2010 7:24 PM EST reply actions

I am becoming concerned with Joe's game.

Shots going way short. Hope it’s just a slump.

by Duff_Man on Mar 11, 2010 7:25 PM EST reply actions

Fun fact i learned today

Hawks average nearly a half point on every possession where Zaza misses a shot.

by Bronn on Mar 11, 2010 7:26 PM EST reply actions

ENO!

by Zaza. Saving possessions!

by Duff_Man on Mar 11, 2010 7:27 PM EST reply actions

by dstdeelite on Mar 11, 2010 7:34 PM EST via mobile reply actions

But seems to pass more after the first quarter

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 7:37 PM EST via mobile reply actions

You know

I know we complain about JJ Iso alot but Marvin Williams iso’s a lot too??
You think he would Iso anymore next year if JJ left?

by liv4sport100 on Mar 11, 2010 7:38 PM EST reply actions

oh yeah

That’s the offense they do mostly except this year with ball movement

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 7:46 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

we cannot hold on to the ball

but that is what you do if that guy is going to crash the boards like that.

you run like hell. have the advantage every time.

by hawksdawgs on Mar 11, 2010 7:50 PM EST reply actions

the hawks only have 8 rebounds.

by hawksdawgs on Mar 11, 2010 7:53 PM EST reply actions

smoove got posterized?!

Someone discard of this tape immediately!

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 7:55 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Massacre.

They are getting every follow just by crashing.

Something our players never do.

by Duff_Man on Mar 11, 2010 7:57 PM EST up reply actions

oh, they can...Blatche is better than anyone the Knicks have, and would be the Heat's 2nd best player

and Golden State’s best player…and all those teams SUCK, and the Hawks just lost to them all…they definitely CAN lose to this garbage squad

by Fred Pen on Mar 11, 2010 7:59 PM EST up reply actions

then something is wrong...

and changes need to be made this summer.

by Mr. Sanchez on Mar 11, 2010 8:03 PM EST up reply actions

10 turnovers?

The future has come...in the form of Jason Heyward.

by hawves on Mar 11, 2010 7:57 PM EST reply actions

10 turns already?

What’s wrong with our team? ugh

Bet it hit the rim!

by dstdeelite on Mar 11, 2010 7:59 PM EST reply actions

To Hawves....

did you see the Braves against Philly the other night?

I almost sh*t myself when I saw Heyward standing beside Ryan Howard…Howard came to J-Hey’s chin…I am still astonished at the kid

by Fred Pen on Mar 11, 2010 8:00 PM EST reply actions

6’5’’, 245?

The future has come...in the form of Jason Heyward.

by hawves on Mar 11, 2010 8:03 PM EST up reply actions

crawford and ZaZa will be the only bench players to play the rest of the night

by dezznutz on Mar 11, 2010 8:06 PM EST reply actions

Hawks aren’t crashing the boards but still in winnable condition. not bad, not great either

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 8:07 PM EST via mobile reply actions

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 8:34 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Sweet jebus.

This is another excruciating game.

by Duff_Man on Mar 11, 2010 8:39 PM EST reply actions

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 8:42 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Jeez

we are getting out rebounded badly right now

by Erihury on Mar 11, 2010 8:47 PM EST reply actions

so

we suck tonight or just lucky

by Erihury on Mar 11, 2010 8:53 PM EST reply actions

Okay, for a 5x5, josh needs

2 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 blocks.

Bit of a hefty fourth quarter, but he could do it.

by Bronn on Mar 11, 2010 8:55 PM EST reply actions

Zaza

BEST HAWKS PLAYER EVER

by Erihury on Mar 11, 2010 8:58 PM EST reply actions

Do I see Jim J Bullock?

Because this is too close for comfort.

by Duff_Man on Mar 11, 2010 9:05 PM EST reply actions

UGH

by Erihury on Mar 11, 2010 9:07 PM EST reply actions

weird turn of events

Happy hawks have a lead

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 9:08 PM EST via mobile reply actions

he is tired...

its gonna be a short playoff run… woody runs the starters in the ground

by dezznutz on Mar 11, 2010 9:14 PM EST up reply actions

Ack

that block didn’t count. If it had, Smoove would have been a block, steal, and rebound shy of a 5×5.

by Bronn on Mar 11, 2010 9:13 PM EST reply actions

tsk

Not again.

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 9:14 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Woody only has the balls to scream at JC and Teague

Anybody else will probably bust him in his face.

Bet it hit the rim!

by dstdeelite on Mar 11, 2010 9:17 PM EST reply actions

by bibbY10 on Mar 11, 2010 9:17 PM EST up reply actions

Defense! please

by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 9:25 PM EST via mobile reply actions

if we had thrown into Al Horford on that possesion

this game is over. there was no one within two feet of him.

by hawksdawgs on Mar 11, 2010 9:26 PM EST reply actions

Barring something crazy

Josh Smith comes up just short of 5×5 territory again-needing 2 blocks and a steal.

by Bronn on Mar 11, 2010 9:28 PM EST reply actions

W-I-N spells WIN!!!

The future has come...in the form of Jason Heyward.
