Hawks Injury Report: Mo Evans has the flu and did not travel with the team.
Wizards Injury Report: Josh Howard and the people with guns are out for the year.
Blogging With the Enemy: Bullets Forever
Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: The trade with Dallas. No joke the only thing that used to stop Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee against the Hawks was the Washington starters.
Game Preview:
The Wizards have the same winning percentage as the Knicks. It is another road game where Josh Smith jump shots will not be met with boos and failure to put away teams will not cause nervous clamoring. It is another game where all five position players are not necessarily better than their opposing Hawks, but they could be with some poor defense, execution, and effort.
None of this would have been an issue naturally if the game had taken place when it was suppose to. No, not because Washington was worse pre-trades, but because I was suppose to be at this game. A few rows behind the Hawks bench, booing Josh Smith jump shots and nervously clamoring over effort. I could have guaranteed victory. Alas, it was not to be. So Bob Rathbun and Steve Holman, you boys need to pull double duty tonight.
Keys to the game
1. Don't get embarrassed two games in a row, which is another way of saying win. Also, Al Horford.
Go Hawks!

channelsurfing.net looks like they have it.
I hate games against Washington. I was supposed to be at this one. Blah.
thank you so much
i live in IA and always had to listen to you guys for a play-by-play. Now i don’t have to. YAY!!!!
The future has come...in the form of Jason Heyward.
they went to the whitehouse but wasn't able to see the prez. bah
Have all the nba teams been to the whitehouse?

on a totally unrelated note
I am really excited about the Braves this year. even though their starting pitching reminds me of mike bibby for some reason.
moments of really good, stretches of bad, not going to win anything
keep you some in games.
but it should be noted, i read nothing about the braves. so feel free to mock my analogy or destroy my excitement.
he sure does........weird
I’m excited about them too. been going to braves games since I was young wit my dad. I hope they are successful this year

from the twitter
Wiz coach Flip Saunders denies Hawks use of weight room. They are kinda ticked because they let Wiz (and all teams) use theirs.
Bad blood brewing
Though, they might have been afraid that Gilbert Arenas would show up and pull a gun on them-glad they dodged that PR nightmare.
flip knows were gonna beat them
Its sad when the anger shows

The Braves starting pitching is gonna be much much better than Mike Bibby… The starting pitching might be the best in the national league.
I have debated with friends about this
Are their unis black white red or blue white and red?

You know, it sounded like Bob really wanted to use the words "string music"
Even though he failed to set them up at all properly.
oh didn't know that
Well…..with growth he could be better

Lol
Good defense-but everyone in the world knew Josh was going to his left-and that’s why that failed.
You are right, no sense in trying to develop the kid at this point, especially since Bibby
is worthless, and getting worse every week
Too many minutes...Woody needs to go with Teague right now and sit Joe...he has played
42, 41 and 37 minutes in the last 3 games…it is stupid, and poor coaching
Fun fact i learned today
Hawks average nearly a half point on every possession where Zaza misses a shot.
Isn't astounding how similar Paul Hewitt, Mike Woodson and Dennis Felton's offenses look?
Even when your team wins, it’s often ugly, no motion, no cuts.
Ha, don't think there is an iota of racial component to it...Eric Spoelstra's teams look the same
as well as Jaimie Dixon and Ben Howland
well.. avery johson & byron scott offenses didnt look like that
will hopefully interview for the new hawks head coach opening at the end of the season
effin zone defense
groundhogs day
Bet it hit the rim!

jj starts good
But seems to pass more after the first quarter
by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 7:37 PM EST via mobile reply actions
You know
I know we complain about JJ Iso alot but Marvin Williams iso’s a lot too??
You think he would Iso anymore next year if JJ left?
Jamal makes more threes when he's contested then uncontested
he needs to employ Mario West
I read an article the other day about how much better our defense would be if only we'd do something as simple as boxing out
Bet it hit the rim!
we cannot hold on to the ball
but that is what you do if that guy is going to crash the boards like that.
you run like hell. have the advantage every time.
smoove got posterized?!
Someone discard of this tape immediately!
by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 7:55 PM EST via mobile reply actions
oh, they can...Blatche is better than anyone the Knicks have, and would be the Heat's 2nd best player
and Golden State’s best player…and all those teams SUCK, and the Hawks just lost to them all…they definitely CAN lose to this garbage squad
To Hawves....
did you see the Braves against Philly the other night?
I almost sh*t myself when I saw Heyward standing beside Ryan Howard…Howard came to J-Hey’s chin…I am still astonished at the kid
why do we suck against the knicks?
no none knows
The future has come...in the form of Jason Heyward.
why am i crying?

close game .. the starters will play 40 mins tonight
crawford and ZaZa will be the only bench players to play the rest of the night
well
Hawks aren’t crashing the boards but still in winnable condition. not bad, not great either

bibby finishing layups!
Uh oh. remember when he couldn’t get a layup?
by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 8:34 PM EST via mobile reply actions
ya know though they didn't get the ball
Jj fought hard for that rebound
by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 8:36 PM EST via mobile reply actions
Actually I could see Zaza as a zone buster if used correctly.
He can shoot from about FT line, move him there vs zone, and feed him to shoot or distribute.
by RamblininAlb on Mar 11, 2010 8:44 PM EST up reply actions
a little over 1 min left and the only bench to play is ZAZA
crawford dont count
They'll be back to the Zone in the 4th quarter without a doubt
They have to neutralize JC
Bet it hit the rim!
Okay, for a 5x5, josh needs
2 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 blocks.
Bit of a hefty fourth quarter, but he could do it.
That commercial gets me amped up for the WNBA season!

is bibby a pretty boy?
Or does he just like to have neat cuticles?
by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 9:12 PM EST via mobile reply actions
he is tired...
its gonna be a short playoff run… woody runs the starters in the ground
Ack
that block didn’t count. If it had, Smoove would have been a block, steal, and rebound shy of a 5×5.
So we're renaming the iso Joe now, Bob?

Woody only has the balls to scream at JC and Teague
Anybody else will probably bust him in his face.
Bet it hit the rim!
lol he yelled at BIBBY once and that was it
He yelled barely looks at jj and al doesn’t do much wrong.
by Hawksgirl on Mar 11, 2010 9:23 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
if we had thrown into Al Horford on that possesion
this game is over. there was no one within two feet of him.
Bob is the only person that I've heard say that Boston would hold the tiebreaker if we end up tied
Bet it hit the rim!
Barring something crazy
Josh Smith comes up just short of 5×5 territory again-needing 2 blocks and a steal.
Wow, i guess ball really doesnt lie

Bet it hit the rim!
