Game knows Game

Saw this online and it is very interesting. A recent poll of NBA players show that Joe Johnson is the most under-rated player.

He may be a four-time All-Star, but according to Johnson's colleagues, he's vastly underappreciated. The Hawks' shooting guard, who leads his team in scoring and assists this season, garnered 8.9 percent in a recent SI poll of the most underrated players in the league (the survey of 190 players was conducted in late 2009).

What do you think? Do you think even the ATL fans are underrating him?

I don't think ATL fans underrate him

We know just how lethal he can be. I can criticise him all day but I know what he is capable of when in a favorable situation. now as far as the ajc blog fans,……………

He is not underrated

Just like hawksgirl said, i know what he’s capable of, but all of his problems are mental. He doesn’t have a killer instinct and etc……

Yes

The Hawks fan are a joke as a whole so it really doesn’t matter the Hawks get least support of any playoff teams but most complaints about team and star Joe. I think he is a really good player and is not appreciated by fans. Detroit won a championship with Chauncey Billups leading the way and never making an all-star team at that point in his career. Joe really does not have the solid group of teammates that Chauncey had or that people are fouled into believing he has. Joe is not the problem here

you say that like this isn't a hawksblog

To criticize a player that you have watched for years on end is not hate its just merely love for that player and knowing that they can do better than their previous performance. I’m not gonna discuss attendance again we know the problem in that category so I will say that just because you see lots of posts about jj doesn’t mean we don’t like him its mainly because he did the unexpected this summer and now were “analyzing” him persay……………

Yes and no!

Do you think even the ATL fans are underrating him? Yes some ATL fans are definitely underrating Joe Johnson and feel that he doesn’t need to stay in the A. On the flip side other ATL fans particularly the Joe Johnson faithfuls feel that he is underrated and want to see him stay in the A.

Yep game recognizes game.

And Joe Johnson definitely got game. Those who don’t recognize it now will see it if and when he decides to sign with another team.

Disagree...

just cause Joe can ball doesn’t mean others on the roster can’t without him, or that we can’t bring in someone else who can ball.

I threw up a little in my mouth

when I saw Pau Gasol’s name.

I mean, I can agree with most of those guys

though I think Rondo deserved to be on that list somewhere-I’d call him the third best PG in the league right now-but Gasol? The man has always been talked up, and it’s only gotten worse since he went to LA. It’s not like the man plays defense, or something.
