NBA TRADE

Hey guys this is bballplayer123, how come the Hawks are not in the trade disscusions, we really do need a big man, I'm a little worried because the Hawks might not be able to beat the teams with new players, like cleveland trying to get Amare Stoudmire, so my question is, will the Hawks be able to play their game and keep on winning more games or will they lose more

I am a Hawks fan =)

Two words: salary cap.

Bingo...

unless Joe Johnson or another integral piece of the puzzle is included, we don’t have the ability to match cap numbers in a move, which NBA rules make a must.

I personally believe the team isnt bad as is

Yes al is undersized but he makes up with it with lots of heart. A trade may cost us pieces that are valuable come playoff time. We seem to play well against cleveland and even la for the past 2 years. The only team we cant seem to get is orlando, a trade for one team is pointless when I believe they can figure them out just like they did boston except it shouldnt take years…….maybe 1 game(hopefully the last one we play them this season before postseason)

I agree, the constant call for a big man may sound great at first.

The problem is, what you have to sacrifice in the process. You not only have to sacrifice some good pieces as trade bait. but you have to sit either Al or Josh to make room for your new big man, and may slow the team down in transition.

if we ever get in transition

The same thing happens when Zaza gets on the court.

half court game is key to championships

Right now in order for the hawks to get in transition we have to get rebounds and/or steals and those two things have to come more often

big z

if the hawks can add big z 2 their start. 5 , it will let marv.williams 2 go 2 the bench where he needs2 b. al horf. at the 4 ,j smoove at the 3 .joe jo at the 2 and bibby at the 1.

Why are we NOT trying to move a guy like Marvin Williams? His inconsistency is killing the team. Starting SF who only manages to put up 9 pts a game?? Let’s get Billy Knight’s last and worst mistake out of town.

marv.williams

the hawks need 2 trade him quickly bfore him value is 0.his has all the skills and no desire 2 use them .

This is funny and true! Marv has barely and value as is so he needs to be traded. Im still mad the Hawks resigned him… he does nothing for the team!
