Courtney Sims???

so if we need a big body why havent we took a chance on courtney sims?

Is it because hes in the D-League? or is nobody checking for this guy? we took a chance on mario west and damien wilkens and both of these guys have no offense to speak of and hes a legit big man that could move Horford to PF and he would have the most upside of any of our bigs (collins/thomas/zaza) and hes basically free.

SO Y NO COURTNEY?

I've never seen him play, but his numbers look good.

I would definitely be willing to take a chance on him. Sometimes bringing in an inexpensive, young, hungry player is better than signing an overpaid, washed up vet.

But then we spent more money than the 31st pick would have cost on Jason Collins. Making arguments based on the Hawks knowing what they were doing in the 2nd round of the draft is a bad idea.

it's not insulting

Wilkins was brought in for a particular purpose: defense and toughness. So far he has brought both to the table. He plays a different position that JC2 and Teague so his playing time would automatically be different depending on matchups.

He was in training camp with the team last season
