Here is a trade for S & G's
Hawks Trade: Josh Smith, Mike Bibby, Marvin Williams, Jamal Crawford
Hawks Receive from Denver: Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Nene Hilario
Hawks Lineup:
Billups
C. Anthony
Nene Hilario
Bench
Teague
Mo Evans
NBA Trade Machine has it improving the Hawks win total by +9. That trade would bring fans to games and it would take the pressure of Joe to be a star. We also get a good big man.

Ok
Without looking at the numbers tell me why Denver would do this? That essentially takes Denver’s three best players and puts them in Atlanta

Cap relief?
Smoove is better than Billups and Nene to me (at least younger than Billups and definitely more talent than Nene). If that’s the best they can get for Melo, and they were wanting to break down and start over again, the expiring deal of Crawford, and young future for Smoove and Marvin might entice them. I’d guess their lineup would become
Bibby/Ty Lawson
Crawford/JR Smith (in the most trigger happy, no D SG tangem of all time)
Marvin/Renaldo Balkman
Smoove/Al Harrington
K Mart/Birdman
With Crawford, Smith, K Mart, among others coming off the books giving them a decent amount of room to spend on a C or SG, and a likely lottery pick to rebound quickly with Lawson, Marvin, and Smoove as your young core.

Denver could do it
But they will not give up Nene. The are looking to get back a talented 4 for Carmelo, so Josh would fit. Keep in mind to that the Hawks would have to sign Carmelo to an extension and he can make in upwards of $20 mil. So the Hawks would have to consider that in the trade. It could still work, but I am not sure Denver would give up the size with Nene. K Mart is not a center.
