Atlanta Hawks: Zaza Pachulia Sick, Will Not Travel to San Antonio

The Hawks will be without one of their big men as Zaza Pachulia is out sick and will not be traveling to San Antonio according to Michael Cunningham. Also according to MC, Atlanta will be sticking with the big lineup for the foreseeable future with the reasoning being that it allows the team to play straight up without having to double team which causes the Hawks to have to scramble to find shooters.
Where the big lineup will get a major test tonight is in pick and roll defense. The Spurs will put the Hawks in a variety of pick and roll situations with Tim Duncan. Will be a good test to see how the big lineup responds due to those conditions.
With Zaza out I would think that Josh Powell probably gets a few more minutes tonight but Etan Thomas is also a candidate for a slight bump in minutes as well.

Tough back to back for Hawks
This is probably the toughest NBA matchup for Hawks now the we have solved the Orlando riddle. Not sure if we miss Zaza much tonight. We are going to hurt compared to speed of their backcourt. This is one game Teague has to get some burn in.
Teague really struggles at pick and roll defense
Not sure I want to see him play significant minutes if that is the attack they will use tonight. I have not been impressed by his overall defense at all. John Wall is the only PG I remember going off and that was only when Teague was in the game. Still he needs to find minutes but it looks like Damian Wilkins is taking those. I was hoping he would take Mo’s but it didn’t happen.
