Few actions that make a person or thing useful are also simultaneously exciting. No one gets pumped up when a stove boils water. Garbage men are useful because they pick up the garbage. So its not exciting when it happens (unless you live in city of Atlanta and they do it once a month). They are just expected, fulfilled tasks.

But for a few things, what makes them useful is also exciting. A Maurice Evans three pointer is one of those things. Not a great finisher, can't create his own shot, pretty bad at the stop and pop. He needs that spot up three pointer to make an impact on offense. And yet somehow when it goes in, I feel like ripping off my shirt and running up and down the aisle "THEY PICKED UP THE GARBAGE! THEY REALLY DID IT! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!"
