Gerald Wallace vs Marvin Williams

It's been reported that Marvin wants something around 5 yr 40 mill. I think Wallace has around 4 yr 41 mill on his contract left. If we can do this swap and also get a sweetner would you do this? Wallace would bring everything Marvin brings but at a higher level and he is still only 27 years old. For some reason it seams like rumors always come up at some point every year of Wallace being moved. I think ATL would be a good destination for him.

DO IT

If we can get Gerald Wallace for Marvin Williams than I say pull the trigger NOW.

We need something

Celtics are also about to pick up Marquis Daniels which is an upgrade over anyone we have at small forward, maybe even including Marvin, and it’s not gonna cost them a crazy amount. We are too complacent.

Sorry Man...

I’m not sure what the Hawks are looking or waiting for. This idea of the Hawks trying to pull in Chris Wilcox is done (Pistons got him…possibly) and I’m not really sure who they are targeting if they want a big man…

I would love the trade, but…yeah, with Daniels being acquired,
I don’t think it can go down.

Hurts

It hurts that we are just sitting around trying to get something done with this guy that I truly believe without any hate towards him is the weakest link in our starting lineup, including Bibby. You know that if Bibby gets open shots all night the oppossing team is in trouble. There is not one thing that you can say you cant give that to Marvin Williams or he is gonna kill you.

too many yrs

I don’t like the 5yr commitment to him. I think he is talented, but 5yrs and I still am not positive if he will be a star. I would go with 2-3 yrs.
It looks like he will be an all-star at some point but I’m not sure yet
We keep waiting for that year he just explodes It looked like this was the year, but again injuries held him back. He’s hurt every year and misses significant time….but when he is good he’s dynamite

I missed it

I missed the dynamite in this guy. He had 2 or 3 games when J.J. was down and that’s it. The Charlotte game was a fluke. He had a severe mismatch and that will not happen much. I personally don’t see anything in Marvin. Steve Nash 2 Time MVP (which I don’t agree with(Kobe has 1) is only getting 11 mill a year and this guy wants $8. No way.
