Not to mention that the two PGs I really wanted went right before the 19th pick….all in all, the night was filled with encouragement and disappointments.

Fail
F. We needed some halfway decent bench player from this spot not a 20 year old foreign SG who won’t even play for the Hawks for years if ever. Poor use of a draft pick.

It was the 49th pick. What do you want?

At least somebody to ride the end of the bench and theoretically be available to play in games this year. I can’t believe there wasn’t somebody available at 49 who could have been an upgrade to Randolph Morris, Mario West, or Thomas Gardner.

What do we want?
How about better decision making from our front office for starters? Or here’s a few things we could have tried making an attempt at: Blair is still available 12 picks prior, Jodie Meeks is available eight picks prior, or even Chase Budinger is still available five picks prior if you wanted a SG. Make a move, do something, but don’t waste a damn pick on a player that won’t see the light of day in the NBA, because that Ukrainian league is really the cream of the crop when it comes to international ball right?
And what about the next two picks of Suton and McClinton? Suton is no Blair, but he’s no scrub and he could be a solid bench player for Horford or Smith at the 4/5. McClinton is a light’s out shooter with great range, great speed, and solid ball handling skills. Yet another SG that could have had a chance at coming off the bench for us over the Morris/Hunter/West etc.
That’s plenty of different options that Sund&Co could have looked at instead of blowing a pick. In the least they could have sold it to help resign some of our FAs or go get someone they like that could play for Woody immediately. Neither the front office nor we fans should brush the pick off so casually.
"If Woody were Captain of the Titanic, he'd argue the boat sinking speaks to how effectively they put rich people in life boats and lock the poor folks below."

Was’nt Manu Ginobelli a 2nd rd pick? I’m not saying he is Manu…lol

Atlanta Hawks Second Draft Pick
Atlanta Hawks second round Draft Pick a C . You have good international Scouts as well, but most fans rarely hear much about International until after Drafted The Hawks I think originally Drafted Gasol and Turkuglu but I may be wrong. I probably Should Have Said A+ but who knows, He has a good 3 point shot. Zaza is real good I hope we resign
all the Players. Lester Hudson, Garett Siler , Luke Nevil, and others were available.

It’s really premature to grade draft picks the day after, even though everyone does it.
But i’m pretty sure that this pick, 3 years from now, is a D at best.
