Poll: Grading a possible Jamal Crawford trade

How can this be a bad trade. Mike Woodson MAY question it because he has an ETO in his contract, but even so… that just means that we’re opening up cap space for a huge free agent sign. We’re freeing up 8 MILLION dollars in cap space. Now, let’s think of the scenario IF he stays. Crawford is honestly one of the best 1-on-1 players in the league. I’m not saying that he’s one of the best, but one of the best 1-on-1 scorers. Think of the hawks team now. Who on our current roster are our top 1-on-1 scorers? hm…. i’m saying it has to be joe johnson and flip murray…. FLIP MURRAY??? Again, i’m not saying flip is better scorer than bibby or even smith, but flip can create his own shots better than them, bibby scores mainly off of catch and shoot, which is more of a team skill. So, anyways… With jamal Crawford, the hawks get another player that can EFFECTIVELY create his own shot, and when Crawford is on fire, there is NO stopping him… not only that… it’ll be harder to double/triple team joe johnson b/c there will be more people who can create/make shots. If we can get crawford, I’m looking for joe’s stats to SKY ROCKET, look at his 06-07 season stats.. even though he got injured.. he was scoring like a beast, but then teams realized that the hawks are unstoppable when joe scores like that and they started throwing double teams at joe. Now with crawford that’ll be impossible to do b/c it will end up hurting the other team. the hawks may even contend for the number 1 spot in the east.. i’m making a BOLD prediction, but that is if they keep the core together…

It’s really an A but there is no way this by itself makes the Hawks into the 3rd seed, so I guess I vote B. The Hawks gave up nothing for something and at worst have a replacement for Flip. Now they just need to draft a starting PG, re-sign Zaza, re-sign Marvin, find some value big man who is actually worth a crap to replace Solo, and sign-and-trade Chils….

So, after the draft and after we do what we are going to do with Flip, Bibby, Marvin, Chills, and other trades and free agents out there.
