Woodson 1, Barry 0...fight called.

I rail on our coach, but he sticks up for his team, and there is nothing wrong with that. Do work Woodson.

First check out Jon Barry's awesome analysis.

Now check out Woodson's response here. Fast forward to around the 5:15 mark.

I have heard coaches and players say that something is "not even worth my time" ala Dwyane Wade/Mario West where it is clear just by saying it is not worth your time it is clearly taking up your time. But rarely do you see someone so thoroughly dismissed.

Congrats Jon Barry, you are truly irrelevant.

Lol... Jon Barry

is pathetic… Any sports analyzer that dismisses a team so shamelessly with no valid reason for believing what they believe… Just making statements…. They don’t deseve to be called a sports analyzer.

I’m with you Mag’… and for once… I’m with you Woody…

haha, and I used to like this dude when he played at GT

what an idiotic remark, though

You know what I was thinking (it’s not that novel of a thought, but whatever)…we are one of only 8 teams out of the 30 in the league still playing. We are playing while Timmy Duncan and Spurs, The Blazers, the Jazz, CP3 and the Hornets, the Pistons, etc. have all started their summer vacations. I don’t care what you say about our chances, it’s pretty damn cool to be in the hunt, still playing, with Boston, Cleveland, LA, Denver, etc.

And another thought, Cleveland was in our exact position just a couple of years ago, when they couldn’t rise above the 4 slot, and were relegated to getting handled in the 2nd round…Clearly, we don’t have Lebron, but he couldn’t it alone, just like Wade can’t. The Cavs added some incredible pieces, and if Hawks management can do the same (not holding my breath), we have a chance to rise even higher…

The ignorance at ESPN is painful.

Please right an article calling out the ESPN NBA “analysts” … they literally haven’t watched a Hawks game all year. They bring no facts whatsoever. I don’t know why basketball fans accept this type of analysis. There are plenty of people available to analyze games on TV, yet ESPN settles for blowhards or under-informed athletes that rely on their past experience to analyze the present.

The Cavs/Hawks regular season series was much closer than Stu Scott would lead the national audience to believe. The Cavs got rolled in their first game in Cle, but that was without Josh Smith … so throw it out. The next two games were in ATL. The Hawks won the first at full strength. They lost the second, but were up by 5 with under 2 minnutes left, clearly they had a great oppurtunity to win. The last game at Cleveland was without Marvin, but the Hawks only lost by 6.

It is not out of the realm of possibility for the Hawks to steal a game at Cleveland, especially Game 1 due to Cavalier rust. Look what the Rockets just did. This team is better than they were last year, and the Cavs are, at best, as good as the Celtics were. I like the Hawks chances for making this a series. Can’t wait for tomorrow.

Agreed on all accounts.

Especially the point about us making this a series. It’s unfortunate how much this team is getting dismissed and overlooked during these playoffs.

National Media

I might resort to turning the tv on but turning volume off and listening to the local radio for commentary. They are paid to give Lebron and Wade blowjobs. Did anybody notice how D-Wade just walked off the court with no show of sportsmanship or respect after they lost? If that was us it would have been a national uproar.

Not to be rude,

But this post gets a little annoying for people visiting the site… Only because it Auto-Plays the 790 clip…
