39-22

Phillips Arena

Fox Sports South, Hawks Radio NetworkNBA Audio League Pass
Probable starters:
Chris Paul PG Mike Bibby
Rasual Butler SG Joe Johnson
Julian Wright SF Mo Evans
David West PF Josh Smith
Tyson Chandler C Al Horford

Hawks Injury Report: Marvin is out with lower back pain. I can say in full honesty, that kind of scares me. Also, some dude named Craig will not play.

Cav Injury Report: Peja Stojakovic is probably out with back spasms.

Blogging With the Enemy: At the Hive

Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: With Marvin on the bench, I do not think the world would be in its proper order unless CP3 absolutely destroys the Hawks tonight.

Game Preview:

Apparently old Josh Smith is back. Strange enough, when put down on print, the old Josh Smith sounds strikingly similar to how one would describe effort.

Keys to the game

  1. Make David West settle for jump shots.
  2. Keep a hand in Julian Wright's face.
  3. Attack Tyson Chandler.

I know Chandler is a good defensive player and can block shots, but Horford and Josh cannot settle for jumpers all night. They need to attack the basket. And then do it again. And then again. It would also be nice if Joe "freaking" Johnson came to play to, but I don't want four keys.

Due to some horrible, horrible circumstances in Chattanooga, I will be attending this game in person, and I can tell you, my basketball psyche could use a win.

Please use this forum to add keys, post disgruntled thoughts, heap praise, and relay especially awesome Nique quotes. Best game thread comment will win my unused Southern Conference basketball tournament tickets.

Go Hawks!

i hope chris paul goes for a bunch of steals and overplays the passing lane and leaves bibby open for like 25 three pointers. and bibby makes them.

i am in the mood for the mike bibby dance.

Blazer fan here...

I’m watching your game right now and I must say I’m a fan of your team. Hornets are a tough team and I really like how Joe Johnson is making everyone in teal keep an eye on him.

Thanks ... I'm rooting for the Blazers too.

I’ve got a bet on the Blazers and Hawks to win the NBA Championship. I’m holding out hope that Utah can take down LA and the Blazers can sneak in.

HA!

Awesome (as well as being correct) statement. I really thought I was going to have to spend an hour or two pulling numbers yesterday to do a Bibby/Acie comparo, but I think his most recent performances speak for themselves.

Hmm, I think I might still pull those numbers, if for nothing more than my own personal reasons.
