Hawks Injury Report: Marvin Williams and some dude named Craig.
Pacers Injury Report: Mike Dunleavy and his mustache are out. Jeff Foster is GTD. And Danny Granger is a game time decision after being out for a good long while. How nice of you to return Danny....
Blogging With the Enemy: Indy Cornrows
Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: I was going to say Jarret Jack, but I just have a gut feel Troy Murphy is going to hit some threes because Josh refuses to go out that far.
Game Preview:
The Hawks are 27-6 at home. That is ridiculous.
He is my favorite Hawk. I want to be best friends with him, but I will publicly ridicule big Al Horford if he does not post a double double again Roy Hibbert.
If Granger comes off his injury hot, hats off to him. However, expecting that he will not be in top flight form, the key to a Hawks victory is the front court dominating the decided advantage they have. If Joe Johnson or Mike Bibby can get hot, the Hawks only need to hold serve to win this ball game. What I am saying is I hope the Pacers get Jim Cramer-ed tonight by the Hawks.
But who are we kidding? On Friday the 13th for the Atlanta Hawks coached by Mike Woodson, A 27-6 home record means less than nothing. The Hawks need to bring effort if they want to win. Any illusions of grander that have been built up over these last three games will quickly topple down as Jarret Jack reigns threes down on their going through the motion heads.
So you ready for two of the worst keys to a game ever?
1. Energy.
2. Take the dominance from the paper to the court.
Due to financial reasons, I will be neither at the game nor watching it somewhere fun. So if you choose to follow suit, meet me in the game thread. As always, any reference to Davidson beating Roy Hilbert in his final collegiate game are strongly encouraged.
Go Hawks!

from todays espn chat
EJ (Atlanta): Hey Thorpedo, what do you think of the way Al Horford has been playing as of late? Is this indicative of what we can expect from him or is it just a hot streak for him?
David Thorpe: See Al. Pass to Al. Smile.

by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 7:39 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
what is the percentage of first possesion
jump shots by josh smith?
it has to be at least 15 percent. rougly 14.9% more than it should.

two makes for hibbert
that means the next six possessions need to be into horford so he fouls out.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 7:46 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
is hibbert
playing like this because of my blog? i will delete stuff.
horford tighten up.

Haven't seen a hawks game
in a while. Doesn’t take long for josh smith to remind you why he drives the coach nuts, does it?

is it weird that I don't want joe
to pass steve smith on the all time hawks three point list?
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 7:51 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
ummm...yes.
I mean smith was a nice player (and excellent human being). But joe is a heavyweight.

If this guy is your first sub...
you might have a terrible bench.

“once again a longer stay than 10 second nique.” bob referring to mario west.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 8:03 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
i am glad mario is an effort guy
because he needs to make up for roughly 3 guys and one coach.

jeff foster
reminds me of a guy who has really short parents and somehow is mysteriously tall in a very annoying way.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 8:11 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
are the hawks running an option
where every time the first option is a 15-22 foot jump shot?
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 8:13 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
seriously
have the hawks run one play where horford is actually posted up? it is all drive and kicks to him at 13 feet.

Well, i hate
to leave you to enjoy this excitement all by yourself, but as the sun sets into the pacific, i must leave on my evening’s peregrinations….

open shot he sees tonight.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 8:26 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
the mo evans 18 footer with 15 seconds on the shot clock
would get you benched in my church league

zaza just layed it in
with such a blatant offensive foul i think the refs were so impressed they didn’t call it.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 8:35 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
soooo
out of the timeout
the hawks went with bibby for three?he is now 2-7 tonight and 2-50 over the last 3 games.
good call woody.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 8:39 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
that was one of the fattest moves i have ever seen
by tj ford on that lose ball.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 8:56 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
nice run by the hawks
less on actual offense and more on really good shooting.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 9:01 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
mo evans hitting his open threes
got to like that.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 9:04 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
the josh smith that tries
may be absent tonight.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 9:05 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Aside from a five minute cameo where Mario got 3 offensive boards.
by Bronn on Mar 13, 2009 9:12 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
you missed those boards
go to no use due to woodson and some terrible shot selection.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 9:14 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
but good to have you bronn
i will take a fourth quarter cameo by you
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 9:17 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
i said it once
and i will say it again.
joe is not going to miss open shots.

Mo Evans
is +19 in 21 minutes. This must the Mo Evans from November.
by Bronn on Mar 13, 2009 9:16 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
he has hit his open shots tonight
when he is open, he may have the slowest release in the history of basketball.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 9:20 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
flip was clearly fouled there
but don’t get a tech flip. go to the bench. enjoy your additional minutes.
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 9:24 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Please, please don't let Roy Hibbert get a double double...
by Bronn on Mar 13, 2009 9:26 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
i have never agreed with something
as much as i do that statement
by hawksdawgs on Mar 13, 2009 9:29 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Just as impressive to me
is Al’s stat line from tonight. 17/15/4 with 3 blocks.
by Bronn on Mar 13, 2009 9:41 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Drew, I see you poached my question from Thorpe’s chat today. I have confirmation that Randolph Morris not only smiled, but laughed during warmups tonight. I was there and I couldn’t believe my eyes, but it happened I tell you.

1. i peruse those chats
2. i don’t believe you.
