Mo Evans Calls Out the Team...and I like it.
"Honestly, I don’t think we play hard every night. It’s not about the right team catching us on the wrong night or anything like that. It doesn’t matter. If we don’t give the right type of effort, it doesn’t matter if it’s the worst team in the league or the best team in the league. They’re going to give us the business if the effort isn’t there.”
I have ragged Mo for his play this year, but this quote and the others throughout the writeup is a veteran stepping up. Go read the column. Evans is not a guy that Sekou seeks out for his nightly recap. This is a man who knows the All-star game is two games too far away.
These are not the hollow, lazy words of a player looking to excuse himself to the shower after say losing to the Clippers; this is a veteran talkinng about the unacceptable. Not for a game but a whole season. And I am dang glad to see it.

Somebody better figure it out in a big hurry.
Lots of talk about what “we’re” not doing. Is not playing hard the same as not playing as a team (it’s possible—it takes real discipline to stick to your team concept when things aren’t going well)? Who is responsible for it? When’s Woody gonna sit the slackers’ asses on the bench?
There’s a sense of complacency that happens when your coach says the same stupid crap every game and you play the same minutes even if you don’t try and stink up the joint. A message needs to be sent from the coach this time, in a way everyone on the planet can see. Figure out who’s not playing and sit them until they’re ready to earn their time!
