Mike Woodson needs to step it up. He’s lost the ability to motivate these dudes, among other things.

my defintion of "realistic but full capabilites"

precludes mr. woodson from making the poll.

does woodson need to get better? certainly.

can he? i haven’t seen too many signs pointing to yes.

I’m surprised that Marvin Williams only has 4 votes. Obviously Josh Smith deserves to be leading this poll because he’s an inconsistent performer, night-to-night, and probably is the most purely talented man on the roster, but we haven’t seen Marvin Williams establish himself at the level he’s capable. Marvin, at this point, is probably good enough to serve as a second option for a legitimately good team, but his personality is very passive and he doesn’t demand the ball when things aren’t going well.

He makes a great teammate because he’s very committed to the team concept….but this particular team concept doesn’t involve enough of him, so he shouldn’t be content with that.

Bibby and JJ shoot first and pass later in the 1/2 court. Marvin and Josh would score a lot more with a Nash type point guard. JJ and Bibby should be 3rd and fourth option. Drive and kick early in the shot clock, JJ and Bibby will still get their attempts – they would be in the flow of the offense though.
