Sports South, Hawks Radio NetworkNBA Audio League Pass
Probable starters:

SF Marvin Williams
Josh Boone
PF Josh Smith
Brook Lopez
C Al Horford

Hawks Injury Report: Joe Smith is out.

Nets Injury Report: Jarvis Hayes (go dawgs!), Eduardo Najera, and Yi Jianlian are out. So are the 5,000 Chinese ticket buyers that would be at this game if Yi was healthy. Tony Battie, Keyon Dooling, and Bobby Simmons are questionable. Chris Douglas-Roberts and Devin Harris are probable. Basically, the Nets may or may not be playing today.

Blogging With the Enemy: Nets are Scorching

Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: Devin Harris

Game Preview:

No one wants their week ruined on Sunday. Just win.

Go Hawks!

today and Wed.

could be our best opportunities to see Jandolph/happy meal/victory cigar/GTM for a while

this one isn't exactly a "must win"...

as it is a “how can you possibly lose”.

Prediction for player of the game: Othello Hunter

Also, if Jeff Teague doesn’t get 20+ minutes, with Harris’ speed and the Nets’ overall craptasticness, the fire Woody crowd will return from the woodwork.

by Mr. Sanchez on Dec 13, 2009 2:03 PM EST reply actions

thank god

NJ got a win already i didn’t want us to be the first game they win if we lose cuz we lose very winnable for some reason

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 2:33 PM EST reply actions

before that win

they were my second fav. team. if they came into this game 0-23, I would have been scared out of my mind.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 2:34 PM EST up reply actions

yea me to

for some reason we blow games we should win by 20

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 2:41 PM EST up reply actions

sometimes...

but with their injuries, this shouldn’t even be close. Our bench could beat this team by 20.

by Mr. Sanchez on Dec 13, 2009 2:52 PM EST up reply actions

Ugh

Just watched the end of the Falcons game. What a bummer. It will take almost all the joy out of demolishing New Jersey.

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 3:55 PM EST reply actions

I admit..

I wanted Yi over Horford… Okay.. I’m going to go back to my anime where the chinese spit energy balls from their mouth and can fly…

by supraman on Dec 13, 2009 4:14 PM EST reply actions

the NJ Nets

is like the Jersey Shore they both should be blown up and never seen again

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 4:27 PM EST reply actions

even though it does not really fit their style

“the situation” should have been a nickname option for Randolph and Collins.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 4:41 PM EST up reply actions

Woodys new nickname

should be dolemite or snookie

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 4:49 PM EST reply actions

WHOOO

after the game on sportsouth A Town Dancers 09-10 photo shoot

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 5:02 PM EST reply actions

woody is known as snookie

Wow. that is kinda weird. but will be tuning in late because I’m shopping today……………how but should be an easy one

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 5:07 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Mo

starting Marvin sick dang

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 5:09 PM EST reply actions

love

how Bob and Nique can fist pump the hawks mid analysis

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 5:11 PM EST reply actions

note to bibby

mo evans is not josh smith. more skill required on those lobs.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 5:23 PM EST reply actions

MO

gonna score 50 today

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 5:27 PM EST reply actions

jesus

why do we make bad teams look good come on Hawks

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 5:29 PM EST reply actions

shot selection i meant.

i would rather you kick out to joe for an open three than shoot from ft line without setting your feet.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 5:31 PM EST up reply actions

Actually that was a pretty fundamentally sound fast break.

Lead guy stops at the foul line. You can pass or shoot. I had no problem with that shot.

by Duff_Man on Dec 13, 2009 5:30 PM EST up reply actions

I'm not worried.

The Nets look like the Ty Lue Hawks. Up and shooting early…they’ll fizzle out.

by Duff_Man on Dec 13, 2009 5:32 PM EST up reply actions

i love how guards get certain calls on contact (harris there)

and centers can get killed (horford two possessions ago) and get no call.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 5:33 PM EST reply actions

haha

Bob and A team reference whooo

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 5:34 PM EST reply actions

Taurus...and my name is Jeff Teague

Now see I like a shot in the lane that can…float….float onnnnnn

by Duff_Man on Dec 13, 2009 5:34 PM EST reply actions

No need to cover Jamaal. He’s fine

by acie4mvp on Dec 13, 2009 5:35 PM EST reply actions

Joe

with a buzzer beater whoo

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 5:36 PM EST reply actions

That might be the best Joe has looked in consecutive series this year

by acie4mvp on Dec 13, 2009 5:37 PM EST reply actions

marvin has an upset stomach

Sunday game……sounds like Marv went out hard last night.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 5:38 PM EST reply actions

It'sa case of

Horford can’t guard two guys…someone has to guard Simmons…Bibby can’t do it…Teague can’t do it…Crawford can’t do it…

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 5:46 PM EST up reply actions

Underrated aspect of visiting feeds:

They ALWAYS cut to a shot of Nique and talk about his career and show highlights.

by Duff_Man on Dec 13, 2009 5:46 PM EST reply actions

ummm Nique

NJ has shown they are not a good team. period. rebounding is an aspect of such.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 5:48 PM EST reply actions

define sick for marv

Flu sick migrant sick or hangover sick?

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 5:48 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Josh Boone

is not a pretty lookin guy

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 5:49 PM EST reply actions

Yes

Hawks leave him wide open brilliant

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 5:53 PM EST reply actions

every joe bad shots

seems to lead to buckets on the other end.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 5:54 PM EST reply actions

PM Dawn?....

And we wonder why the fans don’t come up. What the fu is with the PM Dawn?

by Mr. Sanchez on Dec 13, 2009 5:58 PM EST reply actions

We're not as good on defense without Marvin Williams

methinks.

We also played a lot without Josh early, too, which certainly doesn’t help.

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 5:58 PM EST reply actions

And Josh Smith has just decided...

we will NOT lose to New Jersey. Thank you Smoove.

by Mr. Sanchez on Dec 13, 2009 5:58 PM EST reply actions

Bibby uncontested to the hoop.

Frame that picture. You won’t see it often.

by Duff_Man on Dec 13, 2009 6:00 PM EST reply actions

josh smith is a below average on the ball defender

and his help defense is so good he deserves to be at least second team all defense.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 6:01 PM EST reply actions

Like with Toronto...

it took us a little while to remember these guys really suck.

by Mr. Sanchez on Dec 13, 2009 6:03 PM EST reply actions

Ran out of time

AND missed.

So really, it just wasn’t that cool, was it?

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 6:10 PM EST reply actions

if that dunk had gone in and counted

i would have written a book about how it made me feel.

by hawksdawgs on Dec 13, 2009 6:10 PM EST reply actions

when are we

gonna see spirit the hawk again

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 6:10 PM EST reply actions

i hope JT

doesn’t get Law’d by Woody

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 6:21 PM EST reply actions

I am worried about Fratello

He sounds very unhealthy or just worn out. No zest.

by Duff_Man on Dec 13, 2009 6:25 PM EST reply actions

he has to watch the

Nets id be worn out and sick having to do that to everygame

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 6:26 PM EST up reply actions

josh with the long face after the 3

Just imagine " man! He gets to make a three!"

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 6:35 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Whoo

hawks are trying to put the Nets down now

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 6:37 PM EST reply actions

ha ha

bob says " well you know when your maslots a tree" lol

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 6:41 PM EST via mobile reply actions

I still remember

When the mascot got ejected from the tournament about 3 years ago.

Dancing in a non-specified dancing area. It’s just weird when the tree gets ejected.

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 6:43 PM EST up reply actions

Courtney Lee says

Apparently teh bank is open on Sunday.

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 6:42 PM EST reply actions

ok come on

Hawks lets not let the Nets back in

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 6:53 PM EST reply actions

jamal

Is a magician with his magic ball. ‘ow who said he can’t pass?

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 6:53 PM EST via mobile reply actions

I entertain this idea a lot

Josh Smith hitting the first free throw, missing the second, getting the rebound, getting fouled again, then missing the second shot again, and getting fouled yet again.

How long could that go on?

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 6:57 PM EST reply actions

I honestly believe

Woody leave players in to pad stats. if for nothing else then to at least gain confidence.

by axhfan on Dec 13, 2009 7:01 PM EST up reply actions

yay Moo Evans

thats my new name for him MOO

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 7:00 PM EST reply actions

The Nets and Mo Evans. Or where Marvin Williams just lost his starting job.

by RealSquawk on Dec 13, 2009 7:01 PM EST reply actions

Mo does need more minutes

but it is the Nets, hard to read in too much into this performance

by dmortone on Dec 13, 2009 7:03 PM EST up reply actions

jamal

Did 2 years at high school and one year at Michigan…………..okay there is something odd about those facts

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 7:03 PM EST via mobile reply actions

does othello have any nba points?

If not he needs to get some………….teague is very scrapped and hardworking. okay so why hasent he gotten his due time

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 7:07 PM EST via mobile reply actions

why is Zaza on the bench

and why is Jamal still on the floor

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 7:12 PM EST reply actions

Teague

With the Teardrop of doom!

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 7:14 PM EST reply actions

Othlleo

first points of the season

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 7:15 PM EST reply actions

BIG O!

My day has officially been made.

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 7:15 PM EST reply actions

othello is talented

But just like how teague started out wit limited mins u suck at first but you get better wit more time…………….is it me or are our fans hostile?

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 7:15 PM EST via mobile reply actions

But what do we call THIS line-up

involving Othello Hunger, Randolph Morris, and Jason Collins?

My personal preference is “the 117” (since they’re jersey numbers are large numbers, which add up to 117).

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 7:16 PM EST reply actions

Morris is looking...good.

I know it’s garbage time, but he has some tough and can board.

by Duff_Man on Dec 13, 2009 7:16 PM EST reply actions

man

when our bench is scoring this much you know its a great game

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 7:19 PM EST reply actions

wow

More than 115 points

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 7:21 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Rand-Mo

If he’d gotten injured, that would have been the most embarrasing reason ever. Hustling after a ball with under a minute left, up 25.

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 7:22 PM EST reply actions

I like how this sounds like a scrimmage

I can hear guys shouting “Rebound!” “Box out!” “Switch, switch!”

by Bronn on Dec 13, 2009 7:23 PM EST reply actions

I knew that was a shot clock violation!

lol bit great game hawks! Nice put away. were winning when expected, another one under the belt

by Hawksgirl on Dec 13, 2009 7:25 PM EST via mobile reply actions

a town

dancers photo shoot on ss awesome

by Erihury on Dec 13, 2009 8:04 PM EST reply actions
