Blogging With the Enemy: Motown String Music
Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: Will Bynum, unless the GT trifecta of defeat happens.
Game Preview:
The Pistons traditionally play awful on Sunday afternoons. They probably are without three of their best players. Charlie V. cannot even kind of guard Josh Smith. Joe Johnson should not struggle. Shoot Marvin has no reason to be scared. Nothing short of an easy win is expected. Just a win is perfectly acceptable.
Keys to the game:
- Limit points in the paint. In particular slams by Will Bynum and Jason Maxiell
- Teamish offense.
Go Hawks!

by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 1:10 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:12 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Nique and i have the same keys to the game!
my life is complete.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:12 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
josh smith looked like an actual jump shooter there
still, never do that again.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:15 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
0-2 - three more misses and he will get hot - JJ that is
by RivBoatGambler on Nov 29, 2009 1:18 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
he will go into
“i don’t want to be embarrassed” mode and score at will for five minutes.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:19 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
the josh smith steal at the three point line
is easily my favorite new addition to his game.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:18 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
josh smith is drilling jumpers. i feel weird.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:19 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
mercy - oh my - Josh shooting and makeing
and JJ getting a foul on a drive and kick – twlight zone
by RivBoatGambler on Nov 29, 2009 1:20 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
marvin's luck is back
no reason that three should have gone in.
i am totally fine with this being the marvin and josh show. someone just get the memo out to Joe.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:21 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
al horford doesn’t need any offensive touches. he needs to focus on shutting down ben wallace anyway.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:22 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
can't see the game
What’s the update
by Hawksgirl on Nov 29, 2009 1:29 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
josh smith killing it. joe johnson 0-4. giving up too many offensive rebounds and no one is stopping the piston guards in the paint.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:30 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Josh Smith is GOLDEN EARRING
Cause he’s in the Twilight Zone baby!!
by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 1:32 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
7 offensive rebounds
for the pistons in the first quarter.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:33 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I'm not sure how I feel about Josh shooting jump shots even though he's making them.
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 1:33 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
what's the score
Sounds like jj is still being an oddball
by Hawksgirl on Nov 29, 2009 1:36 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
22 of 29 points by pistons
have happened in the paint. via the twitter.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:40 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
did i make that a key to the game?
oh yea i did.
ok gloating over, anger setting in.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:41 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
zaza got hit so hard in the head
he couldn’t do his “and 1” move. i feel cheated.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:43 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
JC's crossover is a thing of beauty.
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 1:46 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
where is jeff teague?
maybe he has interest in stopping dribble penetration.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:48 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
He's Woody's rookie...
and therefore can not play
by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 1:49 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Do we like playing from behind? I know most guys do.
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 1:50 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
I see Joe has been demoted from shooting technical free throws. Interesting
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 1:53 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
Jamal's passing abilities are something like heaven on earth.
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 1:56 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
again, josh smith should just beat everyone down the court every time.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:57 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Ben Wallace has really been raised from the dead.
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 1:58 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
the hawks are shooting 50% from the field
40% from three and getting killed. the 12 extra field goals by the pistons is the difference.
got to step up the rebounds.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:10 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
How about that tear drop...
I’m thinking this is just not our night. You won’t win them all, especially on the road.
by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 2:23 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Jonas Jerebko is guarding ????
and whoever is the answer to that question needs to be going off on offense.
by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 2:23 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Why do we revert back to the same bad behaviors?
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 2:24 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
This is insanity.
We play so well inside all season and now we let the worst front court in the East just do whatever they want.
by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 2:29 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Jackets lose to the dawgs, Matt Ryan's hurt and the secondary is finding new ways to suck and the Hawks are going owned by the Pistons frontcourt
not a good weekend for my atl teams so far
by dmortone on Nov 29, 2009 2:32 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Why do we not try to go small?
Ben Wallace can’t keep running the floor. Go JJ, Josh, Bibby, Crawford, Horford. And RUN.
by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 2:34 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
jamal crawford in to stop the rebounding woes.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:35 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
wow a pass to a big - amazing how that works
by RivBoatGambler on Nov 29, 2009 2:39 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Have we been to the free throw line at all?
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 2:40 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
i can't tell
but josh smith is either flopping like crazy to the point of injury or getting hammered.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:42 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Calm down, Josh. Let Smoove play.
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 2:42 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
how are we only down 2
last time i saw the score i looked bad
by Erihury on Nov 29, 2009 2:42 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Wow Joe sucks we should let him go
by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 2:43 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
The day that Joe, Jamal, and Marvin all shoot well the same day
Will be the day that Dominique Wilkins understands subject/verb agreement.
by Bronn on Nov 29, 2009 2:43 PM EST reply actions 2 recs
wow kwame brown
did not even try to make that screen look legal.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:46 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
so basically let them shoot once down the floor
and we win.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:46 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
We are fouling and underrebounding Detroit to a Detroit victory
This sucks.
The Hawks are going through their “Nets” phase from last year again.
by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 2:49 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Come on Hawks!!
This is when great teams find a way to win against a mediocre team.
by Rebel33322 on Nov 29, 2009 2:50 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
This is so ugly.
We don’t play until Wednesday. Let the starters run all 4th.
by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 2:50 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
how in the hell are we getting out rebounded 45 to 19? This is ridiculous. And joe is shooting terrible again.
by BravesFanScout on Nov 29, 2009 2:51 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
The curse lives for the Falcons.
Turner, Ryan, Baker, Dahl all hurt this game.
by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 2:53 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
A winning record, that's all I want for the falcons this season.
Playoffs would be nice, but not necessary
by dmortone on Nov 29, 2009 2:54 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Is Charlie Villnueva completely hairless?
“smooth as eggs”.
by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 2:55 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
yes he has a disease
alopecia universalis- it’s a skin disease that makes you loose all your hair
by BravesFanScout on Nov 29, 2009 2:56 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I guess that's a good thing,...
cause I’d have felt bad if someone had to shave him entirely.
by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 3:03 PM EST up reply actions 1 recs
damn Marvin
I really want to like your game, but you’re making it really hard
by dmortone on Nov 29, 2009 2:56 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
that is on joe
if you are in the game and have an open three, you have to shoot it.
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:57 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Joe johnson wonders why he isn’t considered an elite player…. hmmm
by BravesFanScout on Nov 29, 2009 2:57 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Woodson is a terrible coach
No excuse there
by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 3:00 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
God we suck
I can understand a loss to the pistons, but not w/o Hamilton and Gordon
by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 3:00 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Wow
The refs called a foul? I thought they weren’t allowed to do that
by dmortone on Nov 29, 2009 3:01 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
This sucks
The Hawks are terrible right now. Management should make a change because this is awful. We have now lost 3 of 4.
This is not gonna cut it.
by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 3:05 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
What a knee-jerk statement.
What do you suggest?
by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 3:06 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Firing the person whose job is to make sure we are hustling and trying
Fire the man who called a timeout so that a dumb play failed and Al shot an airball.
Woodson has to go. I’m so tired of him being unable to get them to execute a gameplan and hustle. He is terrible at calling timeouts at the right time, terrible at managing player minutes, and he rides Joe to the ground even when Joe needs to be benched because he is ice cold.
That New Orleans game and the Orlando 2nd half were not flukes. This Hawks team is very one-dimensional.
by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 3:14 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
another 3pt attempt leads to detroit easy bucket
if bibby would be the only player allowed to shoot 3 pt shots we would score many more pts
by RivBoatGambler on Nov 29, 2009 3:06 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
our decision making skills make me wonder. Why would you shoot a jump shot there, Josh?
by dstdeelite on Nov 29, 2009 3:11 PM EST via mobile reply actions 0 recs
And Jamal Crawford once again goes out of his way to prove...
there’s no such thing as a bad shot that goes in.
by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 3:12 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
jamal crawford
why do you not pass that earlier?
by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 3:15 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
haha JOSH sealed our fate…. awesome
by BravesFanScout on Nov 29, 2009 3:24 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
he forgot he's not supposed to shoot the 3 this year
and after such a great game.
by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 3:25 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
JJ did plenty to prepare the fate - no time to bash our best player - Josh
by RivBoatGambler on Nov 29, 2009 3:25 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah Josh was the only reason we exceeded 60 points
Joe is awful, but Woodson wouldn’t dream of giving someone else a chance when he is off
by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 4:08 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
simple fact - their guards torched us - Jamal/Bibby/JJ cannot guard quick guards.
by RivBoatGambler on Nov 29, 2009 3:30 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
No I'm gonna have to say it was the +30 rebound advantage of the Pistons that sealed our fate.
Josh’s hail mary three pointer at the end didn’t help either. I actualy had a Woody look on my face when he chucked that one up.
