12-4
5-11
The Palace of Auburn Hills
Nov. 29th, 2009, 1:05 PM
Fox Sports South, Hawks Radio NetworkNBA Audio League Pass
Probable starters:
Mike Bibby
PG Will Bynum
Joe Johnson SG Rodney Stuckey
Marvin Williams
SF Jonas Jerebko
Josh Smith PF Charlie Villanueva
Al Horford C Ben Wallace

Hawks Injury Report: None.

Pistons Injury Report: Richard Hamilton is out. Tayshaun Prince and Ben Gordan are doubtful.

Blogging With the Enemy: Motown String Music

Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: Will Bynum, unless the GT trifecta of defeat happens.

Game Preview:

The Pistons traditionally play awful on Sunday afternoons. They probably are without three of their best players. Charlie V. cannot even kind of guard Josh Smith. Joe Johnson should not struggle. Shoot Marvin has no reason to be scared. Nothing short of an easy win is expected. Just a win is perfectly acceptable.

Keys to the game:

  1. Limit points in the paint. In particular slams by Will Bynum and Jason Maxiell
  2. Teamish offense.

Go Hawks!

marvin's luck is back

no reason that three should have gone in.

i am totally fine with this being the marvin and josh show. someone just get the memo out to Joe.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:21 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

al horford doesn’t need any offensive touches. he needs to focus on shutting down ben wallace anyway.

by Hawksgirl on Nov 29, 2009 1:29 PM EST via mobile reply actions   0 recs

josh smith killing it. joe johnson 0-4. giving up too many offensive rebounds and no one is stopping the piston guards in the paint.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:30 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Josh Smith is GOLDEN EARRING

Cause he’s in the Twilight Zone baby!!

by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 1:32 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

7 offensive rebounds

for the pistons in the first quarter.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:33 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

zaza got hit so hard in the head

he couldn’t do his “and 1” move. i feel cheated.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:43 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

where is jeff teague?

maybe he has interest in stopping dribble penetration.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:48 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

He's Woody's rookie...

and therefore can not play

by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 1:49 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

again, josh smith should just beat everyone down the court every time.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 1:57 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

the hawks are shooting 50% from the field

40% from three and getting killed. the 12 extra field goals by the pistons is the difference.

got to step up the rebounds.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:10 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

How about that tear drop...

I’m thinking this is just not our night. You won’t win them all, especially on the road.

by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 2:23 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Jonas Jerebko is guarding ????

and whoever is the answer to that question needs to be going off on offense.

by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 2:23 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

this is pathetic effort.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:25 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

and on que

uncontested layup

by dmortone on Nov 29, 2009 2:26 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

This is insanity.

We play so well inside all season and now we let the worst front court in the East just do whatever they want.

by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 2:29 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Why do we not try to go small?

Ben Wallace can’t keep running the floor. Go JJ, Josh, Bibby, Crawford, Horford. And RUN.

by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 2:34 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

jamal crawford in to stop the rebounding woes.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:35 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

how are we only down 2

last time i saw the score i looked bad

by Erihury on Nov 29, 2009 2:42 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

wow kwame brown

did not even try to make that screen look legal.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:46 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

We are fouling and underrebounding Detroit to a Detroit victory

This sucks.

The Hawks are going through their “Nets” phase from last year again.

by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 2:49 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Come on Hawks!!

This is when great teams find a way to win against a mediocre team.

by Rebel33322 on Nov 29, 2009 2:50 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

This is so ugly.

We don’t play until Wednesday. Let the starters run all 4th.

by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 2:50 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

how in the hell are we getting out rebounded 45 to 19? This is ridiculous. And joe is shooting terrible again.

by BravesFanScout on Nov 29, 2009 2:51 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

The curse lives for the Falcons.

Turner, Ryan, Baker, Dahl all hurt this game.

by Duff_Man on Nov 29, 2009 2:53 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

yes he has a disease

alopecia universalis- it’s a skin disease that makes you loose all your hair

by BravesFanScout on Nov 29, 2009 2:56 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I guess that's a good thing,...

cause I’d have felt bad if someone had to shave him entirely.

by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 3:03 PM EST up reply actions   1 recs

damn Marvin

I really want to like your game, but you’re making it really hard

by dmortone on Nov 29, 2009 2:56 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

that is on joe

if you are in the game and have an open three, you have to shoot it.

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:57 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Joe johnson wonders why he isn’t considered an elite player…. hmmm

by BravesFanScout on Nov 29, 2009 2:57 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

where is al horford?

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 2:58 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Wow

The refs called a foul? I thought they weren’t allowed to do that

by dmortone on Nov 29, 2009 3:01 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

This sucks

The Hawks are terrible right now. Management should make a change because this is awful. We have now lost 3 of 4.

This is not gonna cut it.

by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 3:05 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Firing the person whose job is to make sure we are hustling and trying

Fire the man who called a timeout so that a dumb play failed and Al shot an airball.

Woodson has to go. I’m so tired of him being unable to get them to execute a gameplan and hustle. He is terrible at calling timeouts at the right time, terrible at managing player minutes, and he rides Joe to the ground even when Joe needs to be benched because he is ice cold.

That New Orleans game and the Orlando 2nd half were not flukes. This Hawks team is very one-dimensional.

by coachkcastellon on Nov 29, 2009 3:14 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

And Jamal Crawford once again goes out of his way to prove...

there’s no such thing as a bad shot that goes in.

by Mr. Sanchez on Nov 29, 2009 3:12 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

why don’t we hack ben wallace?

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 3:14 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

jamal crawford

why do you not pass that earlier?

by hawksdawgs on Nov 29, 2009 3:15 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

WOW what an IDOT!
