LaMarcus Aldridge just signed a new deal worth at least 65 million over five years. Made me wonder, trying to put biases aside, who ya got? Josh Smith and 7 million or LaMarcus Aldridge? The comparison is pretty dang intriguing.

i actually think this one is pretty close

i would take either. but for the hawks personnel, I went Josh Smith because the team needs a shot blocking presence.

Aldridge is solid...

but he’s not much of a rebounder either (routinely in the 7s). He’s a solid scorer, but not the same as Smooth defensively, rebounding, etc. Now, Smooth probably has more of an effort issue, but we’ll see how Aldridge develops now that it appears Greg Oden is healthy enough to dominate their block. With that big fella inside, will Aldridge be the same threat offensively? Will he ever be a threat defensively?

I’ll take Smooth, cheaper and younger.
