The blogosphere previews continue: the central division

Ahhh, the central division. Otherwise known as LeBron and some of other players. You have to assume one or two of the other teams will bumble up into playoff contenders but it is tough to know who. You can read the previews and decide for yourself.

At this point, all Shaq is is ticket sales and distractions. Probably hurts them.

Interesting division...

Milwaukee and Indiana should stink. One might threaten for the playoffs if they surprise, but you’d expect both to be more likely battling for the most ping pong balls. That should be a lot of easy wins for Cleveland, and maybe Chicago/Detroit. Detroit becomes extremely interesting to see how the Joe Dumars rebiulding works around Gordon, Villanueva, and Stuckey. His last grouping was great, will this one be as good? Does Derrick Rose continue to develop, does Luol Deng bounce back? Chicago looks finally ready to make that next step they’ve been waiting on since the Baby Bulls group, can they finally do it? And then there’s the Shaq/Lebron test. Personally I think their best pickup this offseason will be Anthony Parker, not the Big Fella.

This is an interesting division to see how things play out, or at least I’m more interested in them than the Celts/Knicks/Nets/Raptors division.
