Game Thread #43: Atlanta at Miami

Next Game

Atlanta Hawks
@ Miami Heat

Monday, Jan 26, 2009, 7:30 PM EST
AmericanAirlines Arena

Complete Coverage >

WHO: Atlanta (26-17) at Miami (23-19)

WHERE: SportSouth, Hawks Radio NetworkNBA Audio League Pass

Injury Report: Al Horford is apparently out for playing but available for moral support. Acie Law is symbolically active. For the Heat, Sean Marion is out with a groin injury.

Blogging With the Enemy: Peninsula is Mightier (not only an incredibly named blog but one that already has an extensive preview for this evenings festivities).

The odds of Joe and Bibby both having back to back terrible shooting performances is pretty low. Unfortunetly, Dwayne Wade is better than both of them.

With that said, my keys to the game are making Wade score on tough shots, rebounding the basketball, and Marvin or the Inspector stepping it up (or in Josh's case continuing to step it up) on the offensive end.

And it almost goes without saying that we all hope for an Othello Hunter sighting in back to back games.

I will be living in the comments after halftime. Feel free to start earlier.

Go Hawks!

Wow

Really, why play the rest of the game? It’s clear the Hawks’ interest is more focused on the porn options on the pay-per-view in the hotel room.

listening to the radio on the way home, i slowly became aware that this is what it feels like to eat your words.

it was usual suspects esque. If i had a coffee mug in my hand, it most certainly would have been dropped.

Didn't mean to call you out

I think it looks like I was really spewing some venom at you, when I see it now, but really I was just very frustrated to see the Hawks score only 19 with 3:30 left in the half. Then they were still at 32 with 5 minutes left in the third.

I used to have a lot more fun watching this team, I think.

its offical

you can have a heat check at any point in the game.

trying to come back from being down more than twenty, and still down seven, Flip was allowed a heat check on a terrible three point shot.
