A formality, but now official, the Hawks exercised their options for 2009-10 season for both Al Horford and Acie Law IV.

The only other news to come out in anticipation of training camp thus far comes from beautiful Lawrence, Kansas where Gary Bedore reports that the Hawks rescinded their offer to Wayne Simien to attend training camp. I never read of Simien attending training camp anywhere other than the Journal-World (Simien, you may recall, got hurt practicing with the Hawks prior to the Rocky Mountain Revue.) so the offer could have been conditional to begin with. Or, Simien might just be hurt again and unable to participate to any meaningful degree.
